  40.    by a 'G'.

  141.    A batch file which controls the external testing of uploaded files
  142.    immediately after an upload(s).  This file is called by 'fnchk.exe'.
  143.    This file MUST be located in EACH NODE directory.  If you do not want
  144.    to test uploads with another program (besides FNCHK.EXE) then you may
  145.    either omit this file are haev one line in it which says "EXIT".

  147. FNFILER.TXT
  148.    A text file with information on the 'fnfiler.exe' upload file directory
  149.    manager utility.

  151. FNREAD.ME
  152.    A text file with information on the updates to Feathernet BBS.  A MUST
  153.    reading for sysops upgrading to a newer release.

  155. FNTEXT
  156.    The source data file which 'fntext2.com' uses to create the 'fnettext'
  157.    file.  Edit this to you liking and run 'fntext2.com'.  Then place the
  158.    'fnettext' file in your bbs HOME directory.

  161.    Run this program to create a fnettext file.

  221.    system and all new users are screened prior to the sysop adding them to

  224. PRIV.DAT
  225.    The data file for the new PRIVATE upload function (sysop option). It is a
  226.    random access file of 93 byte Records.  The file format is in 'fnet.doc'.
  227.    Each node will have its own 'priv.dat' file and it will be in the NODE
  228.    directory.

  230. PRIVPACK.COM
  231.    Used to "pack" the private file transfer database (priv.dat).  Ensure
  232.    'privpack.com' is located in the dos path and execute it from each bbs NODE
  233.    directory to "pack" the database.
  234.  
  235. PRIVUL.TMP
  236.    A "temporary" directory file created for a user in the NODE directory when
  237.    an authorized user enters the 'private' file transfer function.
  238.  
  239. PROMP.BAT
  240.    This is a batch file which is 'shelled' to when the F9 key is pressed for
  241.    a 'Sysop Shell to Dos'.
  242.  
  243. PWRD
  244.    This is an ASCII file which controls the time users are allowed each day
  245.    on the bbs.  It also controls the K-Bytes allowed per day when the 'ratio'
  246.    file does not contain an entry for the users security level.

  248. RATIO
  249.   An ASCII text file which controls the users' file transfer ratios.  Ratios
  250.   may be controlled by bytes or number of files.

  253.    An ascii text file with instructions for upgrading to version 3.38 and
  254.    newer FROM a pre version 3.38 setup.

  285.    A list of names (in UPPERCASE) which are to be considered 'LOCKED OUT' of

  288. UPLOAD.WRN
  289.    An ascii file containing a warning or information you want users to read
  290.    prior to uploading files.  It MUST be located in the main bbs directory.

  293.    An ASCII text file used by Prodoor to control the uploading of various
  294.    filenames.

  296. USEREDIT.BAT
  297.    A batch file which is 'shelled' to when running 'fnetsm.exe'.

  300.    A text file FeatherNet uses (beginning with version 3.9c) to allow
  301.    notifying callers new personal mail has been left with the @USER@ macro.

  303. USERSTAT
  304.    A text file FeatherNet uses (beginning with version 3.99) to display
  305.    statistical information to a user.  This file must utilize the macros
  306.    FeatherNet supports.  A sample 'userstat' file is included.

  315.    A run time module for some Feathernet utilities.

  317. CALLFIX.EXE
  318.    Corrects the 'caller.log' file to the correct record size for
  319.    Feathernet version 3.9.  If your caller.log file appears corrupted at any
  320.    time, run CALLFIX.EXE.  It will correct and display problems with the file.

  322. CNAME.EXE
  323.    A program which creates a 'pcboard.dat' and 'cnames' file which are needed
  324.    to run Prodoor.
  325.  
  326. DCVT.EXE
  327.    A conversion utility needed when upgrading to version 3.38 or newer from
  328.    a version prior to 3.38.
  329.  
  330. DEFAULT.EXE
  331.    A conversion utility for converting the 'chat.def' file from version 3.7 (or
  332.    earlier) to version 3.8 (or later) format.

  334. FEXT.EXE
  335.    This modifies the 'fnextusr' file to support some changes in the way
  336.    Feathernet handles conference registration information.  Run this once
  337.    if you are upgrading from a version prior to version 3.9c.

  369.    A utility used by Feathernet to move uploaded files to the 'upload'
  370.    directory from the 'work' directory.

  372. PRIVPACK.COM
  373.    Used to "pack" the private file transfer database (priv.dat).  Ensure
  374.    'privpack.com' is located in the dos path and execute it from each bbs NODE
  375.    directory to "pack" the database.

  377. PRIVUTIL.EXE
  378.    RUN from the bbs HOME directory to "ADD" files to or "DELETE" files
  379.    from the private file transfer database.  Also interfaced with privpack
  380.    to pack (purge deleted entries) priv.dat.

  382. SCROLL.COM
  383.    A utility used to maintain the user information at the bottom of the
  384.    screen during file transfers.
  385.  
  386. SIG39C.EXE
  387.    This modifies the 'sigdata' file with your assistance to define the
  388.    public and private  conferences.  New callers will be given access
  389.    to ALL public conferences in which the NEW USER security level is equal to
  390.    or greater than.  Run this once if upgrading from a version prior to
  391.    version 3.9c
  392.  
  393. SIGCVT.EXE
  394.    This program MUST be run from each node directory when upgrading to
  395.    version 3.9 from earlier versions.
  396.  
  397.    It modifies the 'sigdata' file by adding a ", 1" to the 2nd line of each
  398.    conference's entry in the file.  You will need to run fncfg.exe and edit
  399.    each conference configuration for which you do not want the first directory
  400.    control file used.
